Some veiwns and stems of tomato plants I have been increasingly turning purple. I really want to know why this is and if it is a bad thing that they look purple.

Unless it is a variety that is supposed to be a little purple, like Cherokee Purple, he probably lacks potassium. If you get a good fertilizer for tomatoes, they should be good. If plants are missing something they need for health, they will not produce well.
