Is ethanol from sugar beet effectively?
Brazil became energy independent by using sugarcane to produce fuel. And I understand that it's much more efficient than corn and almost as effective as hemp. But what Is the sugar beet can be grown in northern climates?
The most efficient producer of ethanol per hectare in areas Nordic is the Jerusalem artichoke. It is not as efficient as sugar cane or sorghum under optimal conditions. The sugar beet or falls Mangel in a mid-range. However, even with the best use of land, we land in food production. The limits are land and water to grow Cultures everything we use. We can do better than corn, even get more energy back than we put in, but our supply of land and water are finite. SUVs and minivans compete for food with people does not accomplish much. However, we have in our vast ocean areas called dead zones … called this because as the amount of decaying plant matter in the ocean, removing all the oxygen free Water that all animal life is killed. We have so much untapped the vegetation to provide about 14% (my own estimate) of the fuel needs of the world at the current rate of consumption. This exceeds the best estimate of bio-fuel production from land, after subtracting the energy needed to produce the boi-fuel.
