Live plants for your freshwater aquarium
Aquarium plants freshwater and more!
The plants you decorate with the latter must be very original habitat of origin of fish. This is true even if your person has probably never "seen" or experienced, his native habitat firsthand.
In general, five types of plants can be used in your freshwater aquarium.
The first type of plant is grown for the bulbs. It is mostly produced rather large factories, most of which are much too big for a normal size freshwater aquarium. These plants like water lilies and Aponogeton, are much better adapted to external parameters, especially the Koi Ponds.
Depending on the species of fish you choose, you may want to include plants that float. Floating plants make a great place for young fry who need to protect themselves for protection. Some examples of floating plants are a driccia Fairy Moss.
You may also use a classification of living plants called rhizomes. This plant has a thick stem and leaves with horizontal push on the top. Roots This plnat are located on the bottom. The rhizome is used as a "runner" on the surface of the substrate. As it spreads, it grows new sections of leaves and roots.
The African Fern and Anubias are two variations of rhizomes. It is easy enough to plant them. You simply attach these to the Driftwood you already in your aquarium.
You've probably seen the type of plant that resembles a crown with Roots Growing under him, leaving increasingly high. This is called a rosette. They cover the water sending riders and growing new plants as they go. Many times these plants, which include Sword Amazon and Sagittaria, also produce beautiful flowers.
A stem is the plant that you find in aquariums with leaf growth nodes from a single stem (get where the name comes from now?). The end of the plant is firmly rooted in the substrate. Leaves come in several varieties, including single, twin or multiple.
One of the most common aquatic plants is the Java moss. Also called Java fern, this particular plant species is a great starter. It is a hearty plant that can thrive in a range of different types of water and pH levels.
Another plant that is perfect for your first aquarium water is glycine. As of Java fern, this plant grows fast. It will also help maintain the content of algae in the tank low. But be careful. It has the ability to use many of the same nutrients from the water.
You want to check another plant rich, the Anubias nana. This remarkable plant is the amazing ability to thrive in a relatively small any condition you put in. It is a very pretty, too. It blooms underwater. And one of your fish are herbivores will not eat. For Anubias nana do really well, however, you'll want to join this plant a tree root or stone.
The grass-like lillaeopsis is another good choice for your tank, especially if it is exposed to light.
If you're really ambitious, try your luck for plants, consider to buy the beckettii Cryptocoryne. It is an amphibious plant – which means that it develops both underwater and on land. He did remarkably well under water and has the added advantage of being available in a variety of beautiful colors.
Then there is the Sword Amazon – the technical name is bleheri Echinodorus, if you're interested. This is undoubtedly the most popular of all aquarium plants of all time. It is an easy plant to care, even if you're just starting your journey into aquarium. It grows quickly. And it's great because it controls the content of your shell and algae.
Live plants can add another dimension, better in your aquarium freshwater. They may require a little more but the rewards are certainly worth it. You can start slowly. And as you gain experience, you can expand the types of plants you use. Not only will you enjoy the experience, you will be to ensure that your fish feel at home you!
