What kind of vegetables do you plant in your garden?
I, corn, broccoli, okra, summer squash yellow Cantaloupe, Watermelon Jubilee, jalapeno peppers, cilantro, tomatoes, wild garlic, mint, green onions, green beans, peppers, cucumbers and pickling. Corn is 6 'tall, squash is prolific, its all doing great!
Plant what you love to eat, and what you have space and time support. I have 7 types of old varieties of tomatoes (love to eat fresh and salsa), 5 types of peppers (for salsa), cucumbers, snow peas, green beans, okra (Yummy fried), green onions, beets (I love Borst, and the greens are unbelievable), chard, spinach, lettuce (if you cultivate one thing, grow lettuce is so much tastier than store bought, and no worries of E. coli), carrots, radishes, chives, parsley, cilantro, peppermint, chamomile, dill, thyme, milk thistle, horehound (dabbling in herbs). Also, I am planting autumn crops following: green cabbage (go winter if you have a mild winter and you mulch), daikon radish, cabbage, turnip, parsnip. I do not grow corn or squash because of space constraints.
