Information on tree planting Royal Empress?

I live in central Louisiana, and we just moved in a new home, we have sought in fast-growing trees and we are very interested in the Royal Empress trees, but we have some concerns are these roots grow to this day that I would need to be concerned about water and sewer lines be broken by the roots or foundation of the house being under the spirit? Also how far from home should they be planted? Thank you in advance for any aid to these questions. We also plan Dogwood Trees but again with all of the above concerns.

Empress trees have a crown which will fill about 35 – 40 feet in diameter, so first take away from the house if it is a problem area. As regards the roots are concerned, they have a broad and deep roots, but the general rule is that root growth will be at least as wide as the crown tree. Empress trees are best planted in the center of the landscape, a little away from structures and walkways. The crash near the alley, driveway, or septic tank is not recommended. The dogwood is more adapted to closely, but it does suffer from disease problems mainly “anthracnose” (I never liked the dogwood trees). … Billy Ray
