What is the best time to transplant a 4ft (young) Dawn redwood?
Fall or spring? I am located in central Kentucky. Thank you!
Definitely autumn, preferably in early September Keep the tree watered well until Frost / cold appropriate periods of heat occurs. Usually the roots of trees grow throughout the winter dormancy and growth is what makes the industry trees and leave growth next year. Be sure to water the trees and the first and second year while drought and fertilize regularly. You can also use a root stimulator to help the Root System. What you can find in liquid form at Lowes. After about two or three years, trees should be better equipped to handle the weather on its own. Some trees are different. AA maple I planted just over 5 years and it has not grown 3 inches in 5 years. This year alone, the tree grew 4-5 feet – more than double its size. Allow time for the tree to get its basic root then you will start to see the tree growing.

Chronicle newspaper reporter to view this living tree, which had been considered extinct for 20 million years. Fifty years after their expedition, the author r… |

Fine … I usually dislike it when multitudes impart a remark just pronouncing “Solid write up”, but hell, that’s one dazzling article!
