What is the best way to protect my bulbs from squirrels?
I will plant my bulbs today or tomorrow, I saw in zone 5b. I have a problem “squirrel” they dig up just about everything, they even destroyed the fabric under the mulchtrying to dig my plants. They even eat plants, my heart bleeds, and some other perennials that I do not know. Is chicken wire over the bulbs will useful and they eat the bulbs after flowering? Is there anything squirrels do not eat? I tried all the deterrents on the market and only urine wolf thing worked for about 10 days. I have been at war with them when I moved, they would even jump on our patio table for we ate. My husband seems to think that if we have enough nuts for them, they will not bother my plants WRONG! I come from fat squirrels. BTW-Good luck all of us gardening!
