Japanese sub-prime … I thought the Japanese were free of such turmoil?
Something I just read …. After the problems of Lehman Bros and the sub-prime lending market in the USA uncertainty has now hit Japan. Over the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank went bankrupt up and Bonsai Bank announced its intention to remove some of its branches. Yesterday it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will probably make a song while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived. While Samurai Bank is a soldier to follow cuts Sharp, Ninja Bank has taken a hit, but they remain in the dark. In addition, 500 staff at Karate Bank is the chop and analysts report that there is some something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get initial conditions.
LOL. but on a serious note of U.S. markets have a global impact. The Japanese will feel saved.
